Minnetonka is a suburb of Minneapolis and has a population of 49,000. It is located just 7 miles west of downtown and reaches the eastern shores of Lake Minnetonka. Minnehaha Creek starts at Lake Minnetonka and runs through Minnetonka on its way to Minnehaha Falls in South Minneapolis and ending at the Mississippi River.
